But indeed it seems Mizrahi aren't pure Judean as well, they mixed with local Mesopotamians and Western Asians.

I doubt they are converted Assyrians but certainly have mixed with them. I actually think contrary to popular belief on these forums that Iraqi Jews would be mostly of Judean ancestry, or at least the most ethnically Jewish out of all the Mizrahi diaspora populations.

On the one hand we are Mizrahi and identify as such, on the other we are part of the Russian Aliyah so some would classify us (or themselves) as "Russian." Wait, are you a Mountain Jew? I thought you were Sephardic.

I think Maghrebi Jews are 100% assimilated now. By 1970 or around that time there were almost no Jews left in North Africa.

Small place in the central. Most people here are mixed so it’s hard to find someone of pure something.
There are even some full gentile families or half gentile families (with atypical things like half serbs or 3/4 siberians like WTF lol) where I live. Someone in my school is 50% ethnic gentile Iranian like HOW?!

Most common thing here are ofcourse mixes Ashkenazi Jews, North African jews, Yemenite Jews, East Sephardi Jews (Bulgaria and Turkey), Iraqi, Syrian, Kurdish and Iranian Jews and that’s about it.

Not really Jews from the Caucasus/Greece&Yugoslavia/Lebanon/Italy where I live.
