I dont know if there is such a thread but I start one because it is interesting to me.

1.I have a question. Could I pass as a ethnic Turk? Or at least kurd or arab (someone non-gypsy in turkey?). Or they would guess me as gypsy?




2.Can Gypsies be Turks? I know technically they are not ethnic turks, but so arent bosniaks, albanians, laz and greeks but they are when they identify as such. Or for gypsies it is different?


3.If I visited Turkey, would I be liked and welcomed what if they know Im orthodox and from Serbia? Do they hate orthodox and serbs? There is usually rivarly between islam and serbs though.

To me if you are dark skinned and not a groid, then you look Gypsy, MENA or Indian. I can't tell you brown people appart at all, unless we are talking the really dark Indians.

Thats fair enough. Some also put mexicans into that or latinos. Some cant tell those people apart. But others can including me. Gypsies have a darker skin tone then middle easterners and different features. I can tell them apart, but some cant. Which is ok too.

Yes add mestizos to the list too. But I don't agree that Gypsies are darker than Middle Easterners. Many Gypsies are as light as Europeans, while some are as dark as Indians and most only like Levantines.

Ok. I had the darker gypsies in mind when I said that but they are diverse.
