Do you have a definition of the best version of yourself?
Do you try to change characteristic of your personality/..... you don't like?
... or do you have that attitude "nobody is perfect, I am perfect like I'm"?
I don't want to limit you with my questions... feel free to say whatever you have associated with the topic.

I should try not to be lazy first but that sounds like a lot of work.

It is difficult to change what your upbringing and formulative years shaped you into. Bar aging and maturities effect, I've found myself, at times, reverting back to behaviours learned then.
That said, yes, I do try.

I’m not sure what the best version of self is. Sometimes, I think it’s supposed to be more loving, like saintly loving, but I feel like this becomes more difficult.
I imagine my ideal place is being a valued member of my family unit. I like the idea that people enjoy meeting and sharing stuff with me. I hope to be someone that emanates that type of feeling. As my character seems to be a bit controversial, I have a long way to go.

I know I could do a lot more if I put in the effort.

When you look back, you realize what the fuck you used to act that way. As time goes on and you learn, you become mature and wiser.
But never forget where you come from, where you grew up in, who you grew up with, how you grew up as, are essentially part of who you are. If people cannot accept you for who you are, kick them out of your life and do what to make you feel comfortable and happy.

Yes, but only to a certain extent, which it doesn't hurt me and affect my freedom. For example, I like to spit cough loud when I wake up. It annoys my parents and brothers, but, if I don't do that, I'd be denying my modus operandi..

I don't know how to define what would be a "better version of myself". I simply try to see my defects and my weak points and i try to fix them by improving myself through focusing in good opportunities and my virtues/strenghts

There are people I know that I hate. I like to hate them even though hate is generally not regarded as a good thing.
