Kit's owner introduced himself as male, registered Gedmatch as male, has male name. You're confusing him with other person.

He/She doesn't plot like Western Serbs; but right under the Croat dot on k15. Western Serbs should still be closest to Serbs out of all populations. His/Her ancestors were obviously catholics who converted to Islam.

So in place where Croats mostly never being, she suposed to be Croat just bc she have more slavic Dna?
Anyway I know this sample, her paternal side is PH908.
Her north ploting can be just partly regional thing.
We all know that some Bosniak keep more serbian slavic dna..I saw her soon sample, he plots like average Serb.

Bosniaks were never Serbs to begin with, it's just Serbian propganda. They aren't anymore Serb than they are Croat. It's only Serbs from Bosnia that are close to Bosniaks and Croats , it's propbably because many Serbs in Bosnia are Serbianised. You also had Serbs that migrated into Bosnia later on. Some of these Serbs from Bosnia match Albanians on autosomal tests which shows their ancestors came from more South of the Balkans.

Where is this person from?

Bosniaks from West and Central Bosnia are mainly local converts; ex catholics and bogomils. It's east Bosnians who are Serbs originally; result of Muslim from east Bosnia; 100% Muslim Serb.

Most of Muslims from Central Bosnian are descendants of Herzegovinian vlachs (social caste). Ottomans settled them to Central Bosnia from Herzegovina and gave them land and privilegies for conversion on Islam.
In late 17th century some Muslim refugees (Muhacirs) from Vojvodina, Slavonia and Hungary settled to Central Bosnia. Among these settlers there was islamized Hungarians, Slovaks, Rusyns and even Germans, and that is reason by Central Bosnian Muslims ploting more northern than Herzegovinian and Bosanska Krajina ones.

Serbs are migrants into Bosnia. Serbs have migrated into many places in the Balkans... Croatia, Bosnia, Vojvodina, Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia but Serbs claim Albos as migrants into Kosovo ... Serbs are more propgandists than Noel Malcolm who is actually too careful.... He says people of Bosnia weren't really Serbs or Croats but just Bosnians and that some became Serbs and Croats later.. and that some Serbs were Orthodox Vlachs from Southern Balkans that settled in Bosnia .... Serbs claim that all people of Bosnia were just Croats which isn't even true and there is no evidence for this.... It's also true that some Serbs did migrate into Bosnia ... you can see this by the fact that some of them get Albanian Ghegs as relatives ... I get some Serbian matches from Republika Srpska myself.

It's also true that some Bosniaks are Islamised Serbs... i.e they mingled with Bosniak Muslims. But I don't think this accounts for all Bosniaks.


Not sure what the problem of Serbs is to depict other people as migrants when you are probably the biggest migrants in the Balkans.
