Oh, sorry ... I don't know/understand cricket ... but I have played couple of times Finland's pesäpallo (national sport of Finland).
In video West Finland's women playing against East Finland's women (video summery of game):

Hi,
The rules of cricket can appear complicated if people aren't familiar with it. It's a very popular pastime and sport in England and in many of the British Commonwealth nations too.
I've never heard of pesäpallo... however from watching that nice video, it looks cool, interesting, challenging, and fun!

Tahko Pihkala (Finn) developed pesäpallo (Finnish baseball) 1910 from USA baseball and ''Kuningaspallo'' (= King's ball) which Finns played at 19th century to early years of 20th century. Pesäpallo might remember a bit USA baseball but the rules are different. If one tries to understand it via baseball he/she just becomes more confused. It is different game.
Pihkala wanted to develop a game for schools/students which could train their physical skills (also those which are needed in military).
