My grandmother was Croatian. I don't know too much about her parents. They were born in the late 19th century.

I would love to visit Croatia. I have visited several Balkan countries but havent gotten to Croatia yet.

Are Bosniaks croats who are muslim? The Ustashe saw it like that. A croatian aquaintance of me told me the bosniaks are the closest population to croats and that he read that in a genetic journal from croatia by croatian scientists.

Genetically they are closest to Croats. Some of them are Croats by origin and some of them are not. Croats don't treat Bosniaks as Croats unless Bosniak feels so (those are minority), they are simply treated as different ethnicity, Bosniaks.
