Default The Mysterious "Lost Cosmonaut" Recording

In 1961, two amateur Italian radio engineers recorded what many believe to be the voice of a female cosmonaut burning up on re-entry. If real, this would have been the first woman in space. Check out the short film, Kosmonauta, from Mirjam Veske and Nils Eilif Bremdal: https://vimeo.com/106216724 Achille and Giovanni Judica-Cordiglia, recorded signals of a female voice making a distress call on a Soviet space frequency.

That is very sad. I was hoping that she'd be taken up by the Black Monolith

    edit:

How cold! No one responded to her at all.
    "I'm hot! I'm hot! Talking..."

No one had the heart to tell anything, even try to comfort her.

Well judging from the comments on the vid, the Russian is all wrong. good. What a bunch of awful guys to make a hoax about something so sad.

They probably only received one half of a conversation. That is.. if the conversation is genuine to begin with as it may well have been fake. We're going to need some native-born Russian speakers here to pick apart her accent, syntax, everything. Just in case someone wants to chime in and remind us that there were Eastern Block cosmonauts flying with the Soviets: yes.. but not until 1978 through the Intercosmos-programme. Also notice that while the Soviets were not above hushing up failed missions, such information would have become public after 1991 and thus would now be known today. This "flight" does not appear to be a part of any of the Vostok missions.

How does the microphone located near the cosmonaut's mouth transmit the rhythm of the heartbeat?

That's a good question. Isn't it so that they were laying on their backs, all strapped in and that the helmets and thus also the microphone would have come closer to the chin ?

It sounds like it could be real, although I'm unable to know if the accent, syntax, etc, are genuine.

I wonder how the rhythm of the heartbeat of the dog Laika was picked-up in the other recording of the Sputnik 2 at 2:52?

I don't know it. I am not affiliated with the space industry.

But the microphone could not be located anywhere except inside the helmet.

On the record, I could only distinguish the words "one, two, three, four, five".

Why it must be an excerpt from a space communication session I don’t understand.

Judging from the lay-out of the helmet and the way in which they were laying, it can't have been impossible for a heartbeat to have been picked up.

The heart becomes weaker and changes shape and size in space due to the laws of gravity: https://theconversation.com/five-thi...in-space-52940

Heartbeats and respiration systems can be measured without contact using long-range heartbeat detectors: https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/g...nauts-in-orbit

And why do you think that this is the heartbeat of Laika?

I did not find any audio recordings from Sputnik 2 in the Internet.

Can anyone give a link to the site from which the audio recording of Laika’s heartbeat was taken?
