True for the most part but there's a lot of exceptions. If that half-whatever person looks more like one race rather than mixed race, they usually pass for that side (in real life that is, maybe not to anthronerds on the internet) Then there's famous mixed race people like Bruce Lee's son who looked white but was still "accepted" by both.

I don't think so, half East Asians usually can pass as ~100% East Asian (at least to non-anthrotards). They look more Asian than white usually.

If not East Asian then they can pass as Central Asians (as Central Asians are similar mixes of Caucasoid and Mongoloid in different proportions).

Ukrainians are mixed mutts, this name literally means "Borderlanders" (Ukraine = Borderland, that's the etymology).

They can commonly phenotypically pass as fully East Asian, at least to non Anthronerds as you and Westbrook said. But the cultural barrier between East Asians and whites is what i’m mostly referring to here, not the phenotypical difference. Native Northeast Asians (particularly Koreans and Japnese) are known to show disdain towards mixed race people in their society while with blacks and whites in America and the UK at least mixing is rapidly losing the element of taboo.

50% to be casually called English/Dutch/German/Polish/Irish/Scottish/French etc (providing the other half is not too racially and culturally different)
75-88% to be called an Englishman/Dutchman/Pole/Irishman/Scotsman etc (providing the other 1/4-1/8 is not too racially different)

Even at 50%, I think it would be completely disingenuous to call myself "Irish" or "Romanian" having so little contact with those cultures. I might say I'm of Irish or Romanian descent if asked, but to identify with anything else but American would be strange. Only on a forum like this would I even play up my heritage.

I'm (almost) 75% Italian in terms of ancestry and I don't feel like one, or at some degree I feel more connected to my other different backgrounds than Italian itself. And no, I do not hate Italy or Italians, already travelled there etc

Obviously at only 50% ancestry you ought to be culturally of that nation to be considered x. People have called me both Irish and English though and I'm comfortable with either, others may not consider me either and that's fair enough.

Yeah, that stipulation really needs to be made clear in the fine print. I think this also applies to people who are 90%+ of an ethnicity, like my parents, who have no real connection to their ancestral country other than DNA. I presume you believe yourself to be more connected to England given recent migration and the Anglo dominate culture in Australia.

Ethnicity is for most part about cultural heritage, not biology.

For example there's many actual Gypsies in Serbia that converted to Orthodox Christianity, adopted modern regular lifestyle and now they do declare themselves as Serbs on demographic census.

Many Hungarians, Poles and Croats in Republica Srpska too.

Its a good question which can get many answers.

So I leave another open question:

Boy is 50% European and 50% South Asian. His European is English and South Asian is Indian
    vs
Girl is 100% European, but she has 25% (each) English, French, German, Swedish.

Who would be more ethnic English/British?

He is mixed races but 50% British
She is all European but 25% British.

Would race play a matter? or simple ancestry?
(leaving out language and culture since you wanted only ancestry).
