Wallachian/Romanian GEDmatch Results

After the similar thread on GEDmatch samples from Romania's Moldavia and R. Moldova, I am moving on to the next historic region - Wallachia or Țara Românească.

Wallachia is broken up into two parts, separated by the river Olt.
Eastern part - Muntenia
Western part - Oltenia

Eurogenes K13 results:
White - Could be either from Muntenia or Oltenia (any)
Yellow - Wallachia, Oltenia
Green - Wallachia, Muntenia
Blue - Wallachia, any, very recently mixed individuals

Those with sharp eyes will notice that the average for Muntenia is very close to the Bulgarian average from K13.

Because she has higher East Med apparently. Look at Leto's post. Norwegians on average score 28 Baltic on K13, so RN97's Arges side was probably similar to the Modan mom's.

Mixed people do not necessarily inherit 50-50% DNA from their parents, one component can be similar to one parent, for example, 70%.

In terms of genetic continuity, 16-16 NA and Baltic is equal to Thrace. Any possibility of late migration to Romania?

In terms of genetic continuity, 16-16 NA and Baltic is equal to Thrace. Any possibility of late migration to Romania?

No idea, she could for example have ancestry from Dobrogea, because Modan is her husband's surname. She might have been born somewhere else and settled in Arges.
It's also possible for her to have some Greek or Aromanian ancestry, because most of them have settled in Muntenia. Additionally, the nearby Bucharest is a sink for ancestries from all over Romania and beyond.
