This is what many people don't seem to get. They assume that just because Japan is very wealthy, shiny and technologically advanced that they have the same (liberal individualistic) mores and values of most Europeans, which is not really true at all.

Yeah, probably, but it doesn't even matter. No amount of similarities would make non-European people more 'European', at best you can say 'European-like'. I know it's kind of a technical distinction, but an important one. In general, we tend to classify things based on what they are, not on what they do.

I think a lot also stems from the fact that many people romanticise Japan and its culture. Also, as you said it being wealthy aka more 'civilised'. I think the answer should be at the very least 'both in equal measure', but Gabon possibly closer to Europe.

Japan got a similar work ethic as most western Europeans plus they faced a voluntarily based westernization.

I think and know comming from Düsseldorf which has the biggest Japanese community outside of Japan, that Japanese assimilate better than any Arab or African managed to do here. There isnt even much to do for them to assimilate since they arent that alien.

The paradox is that they underwent that process precisely to be strong and wealthy enough to avoid being colonised by Europeans. As Jonathan Sachs said, there are 'multiple modernities'.

So you don't dislike all non-white immigrants after all then? And please tell me you aren't one of those who sees Japanese and other East Asians as 'honorary Whites'.

    Gabon easily,

Social structure has nothing to do with culture.

    About Koreans,Japanese and Jews

It takes greatness to recognize greatness

Honorary Whites degrades them tho, their avarage IQ and state of development surpassed any white nation.
