After similar threads for Romania's Moldavia + Republic of Moldova and Wallachia (Muntenia + Oltenia), it is time to take a look at the genetic profile in Transylvania.

Transylvania, in its broadest term, and the one that I'm using for the purpose of this thread, encompasses the historic regions of:

• Central and Eastern parts - Transylvania proper
• Northwestern - Maramures
• Western - Crisana
• Southwestern - Banat

Are you sure Ardelean, Maramures isn't mixed? He is 39% and no other unmixed Transilvanian in the list scores more than 30%.

Yes, I think the same, but I don't have any proofs in this case. The county should also be changed to Satu Mare. I'll fix that in the next update.

Just like I guessed. I am suprised how high in Baltic they are, also other Transylvanian Hungarians, pretty different from local Romanians.

In the past, religion used to segregate people, so Romanians generally didn't mix with Hungarians and the mountainous terrain additionally helped to create a barrier between the two. Nowadays it's obviously different.
