Wow, amazing. She looks totally central European, common face in Croatia as well. Never, never would have guessed that. She looks more mainstream European than average full Balkanite.

Neither would I, but it's her 100%, as it's traced via her personal email address from GEDmatch. She's a tour guide in Timisoara and uses that email address on her personal website.

I know some people here in Romania (and I've heard it from some foreigners also) that think that if they are blond or look a bit German or Slavic they ARE that thing. common people don't understand they're still genetically most similar to their co-ethnics, even if one is blond and one is brunet or even olive-skinned etc. I've got many times people saying wow but I look more Russian than you, you cannot be Russkie so if they are NeoDanubian or such, which is very popular in northeast Romania, they think they really are more Slavic than brunet Ukrainians/Russian/etc.

a mixed colleague that got the looks from her dad was saying us how she has all genes from dad and nothing from mom, with a sort of pride to it and didn't accept that the visible, the phenotype, is so so tiny chunk of her DNA and that she's around half her mom's side genetics too - she even got offended hearing that and didn't accept it

Typical Balkan ignorance. My dad say he can't be Slavic because he isn't Baltid, he doesn't understand he is mostly Slavic genetically because he isn't Russian looking.
Or for example if somebody is heavy dinaric he/she will be called Vlach, German looking person will be declared Norse by origin etc.

LOL. All of these people have similar DNA and ancestors, phenotype is just a lottery and in one person one part of genome will be expressed, in other second etc.
