It could be Qashqai although im not sure too. They have different tribes incorporated in their confederation. To be honest I think they are less turkic than Azerbaijanis, since it's documented that they are of various origins, which can't be said for some of the other turkic/azeri tribes in Iran (Afshar, Bayat, Shamlu etc..). With Azerbaijanis I would guess that rural tribes who kept semi-nomadic lifestyle longer are more turkic than Azerbaijanis from cities.

I said maybe a little bit more than the average, maybe i dont know. I saw here results of an azerbaijani with 20% euarsian, in another forum i saw someones grandparent had 30%. There are many others in azerbaijan and iranian azerbaijan who definitely score more than15% east asian, also i think you will find in eastern turkey places where people score more than 10%, at places where you wouldnt expect. I always wonder why azerbaijanis score low eastasian, maybe many intermarriage and assimilation of some caucasians in northern republic.

Any proofs about genetic makeup? Qashqais have the same origins as azerbaijanis but they just kept their original livestyle.because of that i thought they were more isolated. Btw do we have results of safewid era or of ak/karakoyunlu? I ask because it could be interesting, we already have ottoman results and its nice to see how they were.
