Realistically though, I think it's a mixture of things. Like someone said above, Slavic oppression by different Mongoloid tribes through the years affects it. I think the USSR had a profound effect on the way these people look at work, and feel about trusting people.

Also, let's not shade over the fact that not everyone is capable of aspiring to the Germanic work ethic or standards of living. Whether it's cultural or biological.. German people love to work. Simple as.

They are quite hardworking from my experience and move on with everything, even under pressure.

My mentor was a german lady when i came in the UK and I can safely say she was the first senior person that ever made a big impact in my professional life. She was also very motherly , I miss her. She taught me how to be a leader and deal with shit fast. Wonderful person.

Latvians are good to work with as well. Strong team players. Too cold blooded though but ok nonetheless.
