Those letter coded as "MOL-3 digits" come from Stefan Voda in the South of the country and represent the Southern profile of people from R. Moldova. That's why your grandpa pulls the closest to them.
My maternal grandpa would probably be similar to them or even more Southern, considering that his ancestry on both sides come from the Southernmost district in the country, Cahul. Those with code "4 digits C 2 digits" come from North and Centre, so they represent the Central and Northern profiles respectively. Those coded as "Moldovan_o", where "_o" stands for outlier are either heavily mixed with East Slavs or unmixed East Slavs.

Well, it's not perfect and also quite basic but I still like it because it's actually less noisy than others and doesn't have some unnecesary components.

It's good to know the location, because I-CTS5966 aka CTS10228 is upstream from my PH908. He probably falls under Y3120 too, which is the clearest marker of Slavic migrations/expansions out of all haplos and clades.

There aren't many of us surprisingly, out of the limited data that I have from 23andme, about 15 samples. The plurality of the guys are E-V13 and I think there are even more J2b than I-L621.
However, I remember that study from Carahasani I think and Sofia, where there were like 30% I-L621, so perhaps my 23andme guys are unrepresentative of the average.
