Good stuff. In the other thread I said Hungarians would be balkanic genetically if it weren't for the German admixture. I take that back. Many northern hungarians and alföld people seem to be very west slavic-like.

Northern Hungary is more different from the rest than I expected. They should have lots of slovak-rusyn ancestry.

Szekely and Transylvanians in general seem to be Balkan + German and minor mongoloid stuff, Slavic input in them is lowest among all Hungarians if I read this correctly.I noticed this with Stears results, his Slavic is quite low, his Balkan, Germanic and Mongoloid is prominent on the other hand.

Keep in mind when I say Balkan it already includes both Paleo-Balkan and Slavic, when I say low Slavic I mean low Slavic in northern Slavic sense.

This is in line with my phenotypical observations of Alfold Hungarians. They looked Slavic to me.

I know what you mean. Interesting because, as I have said many times, my dad looks very Russian. On the MDLPK33 calculator I score 25.66% East European and 7.32% Balkan only.
