Iranian GEDmatch kits

call me crazy but I looked him up on Facebook and found out his mom was half German half Scottish. His dad comes from a very traditional and prideful Qashqai family. His results very clearly show some kind of Turkic descent as he has pretty large amount of East Asian for someone who is half Western Euro; I think if Azeri was a reference population it would say he is half Azeri. Interestingly my Aunt does not really show much East Asian even though she is also half Qashqai the only thing that stands out from a normal Southern Iranian is a high amount of North Euro/Steppe. But I think it just goes to show that the Qashqai is made of many ethnicities. My Aunt probably comes from the Iranic groups while he comes from the original Turkic groups.

to further prove how crazy I am I did some calculation in order to remove the European (argyll+german averaged) from his results in order to get an idea of what his dad's results might look like. Obviously, this highly questionable accuracy the curiosity was killing me though.

Would love to see more Qashqai tested. Some clearly show East Eurasian input in their phenotype, while most look Iranian. I wonder how homogenous they are, considering they are made up of different ethnic tribes

I would say he looks pretty European since he as blue-green eyes, fair skin, light golden brown hair, reddish beard. Though I personally could tell he's Iranian looking at him because I know what Iranians look like. To the average white person he probably just looks like a white guy with a bigger nose lol.

Here is a list of people I suspect of being Qashqai heritage. They are Iranains who matched the half Qashqai kit I posted and they have last names that might suggest Qashqai origins not 100% sure they are pure. They also match pretty well with the estimated Qashqai numbers I made.

I think to most people a light pigmented middle eastern person would seem white. I’m light pigmented(light brown hair level 6 & hazel eyes& light olive skin) but have pretty noneuropean facial features(wide nose and big lips) and im perceived as white american by most people. I think all of you guys would be able to distinguish light middle east vs euro but you’re probably a bit more interested in race than the average joe lol.

can you post his results , Pashtuns and Balochs do share high drift with iranians , this is because of ancient iran Neolithic link , also Pashtuns and Balochs and Chitralis etc live on iranian Platueau not on Indian subcontinet, about 30% Pakistanis have origin on iranian plateau.

That’s all bullshite Pashtuns and chitralis have no connection to iran they just have a bit of Afghani drift. Baloch are the only people with an actual Iranian origin
