You are fully assimilated as French, aren't you? Just as Samnium. And also, Western Med ancestry isn't really foreign to France, not like Sub-Saharan or Vietnamese.

West Med is very SW European. Its neolithic farmer/EEF like (Barcin_N-WHG). Peaks in Atlanto-Med pop. Its the unusually high E. Med in some samples that's bizzare.

Where did the East Med come from? Imperial era Romans? I thought Po Valley Roman where still Iberian/Aosta like?

Maybe Imperial romans, Aostans are mostly French like however (and a good portion of them are Central French like), 30/35% are more on line with N.Italy averages though.

Overall they don't look like Iberians or N.Italians genetically, they are a separate population.
