About Căușeni and Ștefan Vodă I don't believe they are very southern, need more samples from that area.

That line simply follows the most Northern Bulgarian villages. I only have one sample from Causeni and they are within the range for the Central region.



Samples in Stefan Voda range from being similar to the above and Central region (Mol-66 and Mol-69) to very Southern (Mol-15 and Mol-64).

I might be onto something regarding the very Southern profile of some Moldovans.
I was looking through some relatives for one person and found an interesting Albanian surname, Kociu, which according to some quick searching could be of Aromanian origin.


The version in Moldova and Romania, Cociu, is more prominent per capita in the Central and Southern districts of Moldova.




Then, there are also several variations to this surname, which could point to Aromanian/Albanian settlements.

Albinețul Nou is Ukrainian little village. Villages with "Nou" most of the times are not ethnic Moldavian. Post please his K15 results.

Will do a bit later, but why are those with "Nou" usually ethnic villages? Were they part of the same village and then segregated from the rest, with the main part taking the "veche" title?
