I just discovered three days ago that my paternal grandfather is not my biological grandfather. Apparently from what I discovered my real grandfather would be a Spaniard from the town of "Figueres" in northern Spain with whom my grandmother had a relationship just before meeting my "official grandfather" .

So this explains my DNA results which I could not understand until now...

Clearly best calculator for Europeans. So it would be good to open a fresh thread instead of scrolling pages in old one since there are 115 pages.. Post it, go ahead. Mods can merge it with another thread if it is necessary.

Is the original the best or the updated Vahaduo K13 version or the DNAgenics admixture studio version better ? The latter two give me English as my single closest population but the original gives me Irish as my single closest population. There is a big difference between the two groups IMHO.

You are neither the first nor the last to which things like this happen, surely there are many cases similar to yours here.

I hope something like this does not affect you or your relationship with your parents.

We already commented (several forum members when you posted those results) that the results of your father were too Spanish even for a Frenchman from that area.
