The women look overwhelmingly Balkan with some exceptions, while the men have a more typical "slavic" look. Also with some exceptions ofc

This area like most of Slavonia is quite mixed, Croats, Czechs, Serbs, Hungarian, Bosnia-Herzegovina Croats, Gypsies...etc. Croats are majority ofcourse but historically Slavonia was most multi-cultural region of Croatia.

This set is rich in Alpine and Carpathid element. Baltic and N-D also present.
BTW, very good pics. School pics usually are crappy but those are really pro.

Thanks. It's really hard to get hands on HQ pics, that's why I made a thread.

While some faces are exotic, at least 4 on 10 look simply polish.

In terms of features some look native Balkan, others fully (West) Slavic. But what strikes me is the amount of light eyes, it's even a bit over half. Considerably higher than anywhere in the Balkans.

I got the impression that you can see thousands of photographs of Croat people, but still you don’t have some kind of image of Croat because there are almost no expressive memorable, conspicuous faces, there are no charismatic expressive types, all faces are very ordinary and unremarkable.

There is probably an explanation for that impression, I read that there are two types of peoples. Figuratively speaking, there are nations that are more suited to team sports and there are nations that are more suited to individual sports. In my opinion, Croats are purely a people of team sports, they can be seen in teams, but you do not see them in individual sports.

For comparison, I can say, for example, that the people of Caucasus are the exact opposite of Croats. People of Caucasus seem to be created for individual sports, and they have expressive faces that you remember for a lifetime and that you cannot confuse with anyone else.

Western Balkans (Adriatic) and Eastern Balkans (Black Sea) are too different to be labelled together as Balkans, looking at these
