My uncle, USMC 1945. Veteran of Iwo Jima. It's interesting that he's holding an earlier drum magazine of the Thompson submachine gun
Typical late war pants with M42 camo helmet cover

Notice a pattern ?
The Netherlands (Gevechtsuniform M/58 and M1 helmet). The rifle would have been an FN-FAL:
Belgium:
West Germany - the uniform as it would have appeared in 1957 (G3 rifle):
Denmark - M/51 uniform and M/48 helmet (M1)
Norway: M/51 feltuniform.
U.S Army in Germany - 1950s (one of the soldiers is the young Elvis Presley).

A lot of American uniform influence there w/the exception of the post WW2 German splinter pattern uniform and the M42 German stahlhelm that the Norwegian soldier is wearing. The uniform is quite 1940's-50's American in style though
