BTW, we have muslim Croats (but much less than before Yugoslavia) today like politican Zlako Hasanbegović who is a Croat but never converted.
One guy who studied with me was the same story.

Emir Kusturica know about his Serbian origin. He say his ancestors before islamization had surname Babić, and they were from Bileća in East Herzegovina. They converted on Islam late, in 18th century.
In Bileća area exist Orthodox Serbs with surname Babić, they are tested via Serbian dna project and they are R1a-YP4278. Their Slava is Lazareva Subota.
