It's about divided by the official border Laz people
Laz child Medi has a wooden rifle but he wants a real one.
Living near the border he watches every day "Russian" (=Soviet) soldiers with real rifles. But now Soviet Union is destroyed and it's a border of the independent Georgian Respublic where soldiers are local inhabitants of Georgia.
One day Medi discovers that the "Russian" soldier is a Laz like him speaking Lazuri language. But the border has divided them in 1921 when Soviet Russia and Turkey divided historical Lazistan and Laz people.
Soldier is happy to know a little Laz boy but he it's forbidden by the border.
