Asian looking North Africans

I've heard "Asian eyes" are an evolutionary adaptation to too much light. In Siberia the sunlight reflects off of snow and ice, while in the desert (North Africa) there is also too much sunlight unlike for example in African jungles.

Interesting. That could be why.

But how do you explain East Asians with their small eyes who live in temperate climates then? Or do they received that from their Siberian ancestors who migrated from the north?

Btw, its not only the eyes that makes many North Africans look Mongoloid, is their overall facial features as well.

I don't think that explanation makes sense for north africans who have always lived in the non-desertic/mediterranean part of north africa. Proto-berbers only "recently" settled in the desert and many of the people I posted are from the High Atlas mountain where snow is more common than sand

Skull and Mongolian face exists in Africa. The slanting eyes of the Mongols I believe were never climatic adaptation.
