I wouldn't be that sure of it. I got lots of white US 23andme relatives, and most of them are between 98-100% European.

"Most of them" means a significant minority still does.
And "most of them are 98-100% euro" means most of Americans have, even if small, non euro admixture.

Though I don't give a shit about one drop rules. Uruguay is still majority white (people who are equal or more than 80-85% European in my book), even if many of them don't fit the ridiculously strict one drop rule standard.

Seems like a lot of people in these forums don't consider Sicilians and Southern Italians white because of their relatively high west Asian component.

I should have said "all or nearly all of them". And when they're 98-99% Euro, in most cases their "non Euro" part is unassigned, since 23andme is still not perfect.

I might open a thread about my white Murican 23andme relatives in the near future.

Most Italian immigrants to Venezuela were mostly from southern Italy (Sicily, Campania, Puglia and Abruzzo) but I also have experience of having met Venezuelans of northern Italian origin, including a couple of former female classmates from high school, who were very blonde, blue eyed, and even paler than me (which is already a lot).

They are considered White Hispanics/Latinos, yes. Honestly, the usage of those terms in the US is a bit odd and leads to a lot of misunderstandings, some ignorant Americans think it is somehow a race and not just an ethnolinguistic term.
