All a man needs is a moderately paid job and a manly mentality, anything more than that is used as an excuse from losers to accuse women of their failure.

Yeah, I have issues. I didn’t think about this until I was reading the op.

Returning again and again to a guy who beats you isn't a smart thing and speaks of complexes.
Benyzero has made a valid point, too.
Decent women (who pay a higher importance to personality) would prefer a guy with normal to good incomes who has a game and who they feel is a match to them over a really rich dude whom they don't feel attracted to on any level. For materialistic ones it's the opposite. However, many materialistic chicks divorce with these rich fellas they don't really like after several years and, now that they are wealthier, they pick someone more alike.

Well, goal oriented, ambitious people are typically attracted to folks who share that same fire in their heart. Conversely, losers attract other losers.

Of course there are exceptions, but this is mostly the case, I find.

I couldn't care less about his job title if he's earning enough to support himself and most importantly is passionate about his work
Also making your way up from nothing is admirable!
Going back to a guy who mistreats her is stupid in my opinion, we want someone to empower us and likewise we support them, I believe in power couples and working as a team!! If he's antagonistic from the get go and mistreats you, it doesn't work

Why not, If I was a girl I wouldn't want a broke block who has no job and no education. I would want my kids to be brought atleast in middle-class, so my kids have every essential things like food and roof above their heads. As for the losers, girls date those guys for fun, they like bad boys etc, if you want to have a fuck buddy you don't really search for qualities, rather his looks.
