I wouldn't go for a guy younger than me. It feels uncomfortable and unnatural. As for older, my max is somewhere around age difference between Stears and me (11 years), but ideally it should be lower.

I'm 25 and already feel strange when I see a 19 y o woman - you can notice her late teens naivety and how she just begins to experience the world around her.

They're also probably in Uni and at most have a part time job. Even during my Masters I felt disconnected from 18-21 year olds because I was working full time, was saving up money, planning on how to improve my career life. The young ones were just living life, as I did at that time either way.

There's also this movement of men actively seeking 18-24 y o women not even because they have more youth left, but because they can "mold" the women to their liking, i.e. pick up political or religious beliefs of their liking, hobbies or opinions/tastes, etc. It's highly manipulative.

I understand the idea of being older, more mature and the man of the house that can help the younger woman safely develop her life, but in some cases it feels more like grooming. Women at 19 are not a blank slate that you can just turn into whatever you want.

I think a 10 year difference at most can work.

Yes i'm also very naive, i still belive in flying Santa Claus who will bring me gifts in Christmas, he came from Finland so i am always surprising him with milk and pastries.

It's very offensive that you suspect i'm a golddigger and you think the reason of my 25 or 30+ age preference is he manage my life with his money. I really hate to say it but you leave me no choice. My family is rich, i have dated with 6 guy in my life and i have more money than these guys + their families have together. So i don't care his money and i don't wanna manage my life on his existence. There are just few things what are more annoying when someone wanna buy me. Same age or slightly younger/ older. I have done the big 8 year gap upwards in the past and I was bored. Most women will say the safety and experience is better but that’s actually quite boring to me. It’s more exciting exploring & learning life with someone closer to your age.

My husband is 3 years younger than me, so it all worked out well in the end.

It is better if you marry someone of your age. The thing that is even more important than age is understanding & compatibility. Financial stability is also very necessary for a successful marriage.
