There was a map posted here by a Georgian member if I am not mistaken, a Russian anthropology one. I am not sure if it was hair or eyes or both, but it was a clear gradient with the darkest in Lankaran (southeast Azerbaijan, talysh) and the highest % of lightness in Circassia and Adygea. Maybe you know what map I refer to

There isn't a huge difference between Caucasians in terms of pigmentation but if we compare on average Western ones are lighter, with Western Georgians being the lightest in the whole Caucasus. Btw don't think they are majority light, they are the lightest but they are %16-18 light on average. I'll leave some studies that made on this subject.

This is indeed true. Differences are not very pronounced. I'd say only Talysh would be clearly different, otherwise phenotype is surprisingly similar, with some regional variations.

PS. Once in the Saint Petersburg metro this drunk Russian guy asked me where I was from, and having learned that I was from Azerbaijan, started objecting that I look just like his Mingrelian friend, so I must be Georgian. Couldn't shake him off, so I was very relieved when I arrived at the next station and could gtfo. As I was leaving the carriage he shouted Грузин! (Georgian!) after me. One the most akward moments of my life

I don't consider the Azerbaijanis and the Armenians Caucasian. The Armenian homeland extends deep into modern Turkey which is not part of the Caucasus and Iran has probably more Azerbaijanis than the eponymous country. So to me the Caucasus is Georgia and the Caucasian Federal District of Russia.

Someone from Ardahan and Posof. First I thought he is an Ahiska Turk, but the results would seem to suggest that he is a Georgian from Turkey.
