Are you a speaker of Baku dialect? I still like Azerbaijani even though it's been years since I briefly studied Eastern languages. I find Azerbaijani better than Turkish (to my taste), however I do admire the Turks' self-confident use of their language, even on this forum it's visible.

I speak standard Azerbaijani, which is spoken in the Absheron peninsula. Baku dialect is now mainly spoken in the old Baku villages like Ramana, Surakhani, etc., otherwise it is rare now.

I don't have anyone in my family with eastern phenotype tbh, but in my maternal village I have seen people with appearance I usually associated with North West of the country.

Interesting. Is he passable as a Russian? I don't think he is zero East Eurasian, otherwise that'd mean he is just assimilated and Turkic in name only. I think even North Caucasians and Persians would often score 2-3% EE.

Yeah. Routinely when he was in the military or komandirovka during the olden days.
When I have received his test I'll post his youth(in order to protect his privacy) photo with his result, if he gives his permission.

Yeah even non-Turkic North Caucasians do score decent EA, especially Vainakhs. I assume that is why Ingush are usually close to north shifted Azerbaijanis.
