A quite funny observation, my Greek friend's non biological maternal gradfather many times is closer to and gets modeled better as Albanian than even many Albanian members posting in the various forums ...
The part of Achaia where he is from is said to had Arvanites (though this info is not known to him or his parents who were born in the 1880s ) but at least a great grandfather of his was from somewhere in Central Greece so such tight fits seem unrealistic...
Needless to say he is also very close to Torbeshes who were left out by the creator of the calc, in fact they are his closest population @2.53.

Must be the mix of his ancestries, including them, that produce such results.

It's probably the calculator effect as some people have atypical components, and get superficial comparisons. My results are always changing the more samples are added. I wouldn't take it too seriously. At least until we gave a massive database.

The Torbesh despite being Slavic Muslims are heavily Albanian admixed. Whether that's assimilation or marriage practices due to faith.

The closest populations for Torbesh are all Albanian first. With distances of 1-3. Even Vlach/Aromanian and some Greek groups are closer to Torbesh than Macedonians and Bulgarians.

The question is, how many Torbesh make up this sample group and where are they from? If it's like 3 samples from or near densely Albanian populated areas, then this sample group shouldn't be trusted until more samples are added. If its a decent size and spread, then they probably have quite a bit of genuine Albanian admixture.
