I have my parents' MyHeritage results and they both plot to the north of me. Father is from Galați and mother from Botoșani. Phenotype-wise, I'd expect my dad to be slightly more nordic and my mom souther. But well, I'm not good enough at this and I used to think that looks are directly linked to genetic makeup.



From Yugoslavia, they both get some sort of Croat after Bosniak, while I get Serb



My mom's distances are a bit eerie. She definitely looks somewhat dark pigmented but not in the typically Balkan way. Looks exactly like this, Turanid is really visible.

Your parents results are similar to mine. My father is 3/4 galati and 1/4 covasna while my mother is 1/2 galati and probably 1/2 suceava, her father was probably from suceava. My mother also have almost 4% of siberian in k13. She looks more southern than my dad but genetically, she seems more northem.

As some of you know, at the moment and until tomorrow, MyHeritage allows the free upload of DNA data.
Unfortunately, my imputed files on DNALand are still processing for the vast majority of academic samples from Balti and Stefan Voda. I managed only to upload one of them to MyHeritage, because I had its vcf already on DNALand a couple of months ago.

So here is MOL-005 from Caplani, Stefan Voda. I think it is safe to say that this individual is of colonist descent judging by the assigned genetic group, so at least some of the ancestors came from over the Danube in the 18-19th centuries.

That's good news because I've uploaded all samples from Reich and Estonian BioCentre to DNA.LAND and all of them are stuck at "In Progress". I think I've overwhelmed their system or maybe they've flagged my account.
The bad news is that you need to create a separate account for each sample, so I am not going to bother.
