Makes more sense now. I remember that his Genera results showed no Iberian but northwestern European instead, which is pretty much impossible for a Brazilian of colonial descent.

The Angolan part makes sense as well.

Higher than average SSA for black Brazilian, interesting.

Yeah, most of the slaves in Rio de Janeiro were Bantu from Congo and Angola.

He must look very African being 2/3 SSA. But nevertheless almost 1/4 Caucasoid. The fact that he has Caucasian Y DNA is pretty crazy.

Most Afro-Brazilians have European Y-DNA so nothing out of the ordinary. Most male African slaves weren't able to reproduce, unlike Portuguese patriarchs who often had dozens of children with multiple women. As a rule, in Brazil the richer you were the more children you had.

G2a is quite rare in Portugal, isn't it?
By the way, are there many blacker Brazilian out there? More Sub-Saharan than Heather.

Somewhat, but pretty sure his G2a is Portuguese.

He is more African than the average black Brazilian of one of the most African cities of Brazil, Salvador, so his results are atypical.
You can still find 90%+ African individuals, especially in quilombos (communities founded by African fugitives), but they are rarer than 100% European Brazilians.
