My great grandfather, whom was fully Spanish had slanted eyes and high cheekbones. Maybe that is where I get mine from.

Ah, yes. His are high, but not wide. I have flared (wide) cheekbones. My Spanish aunt has them, as well, but her eyes are not slanted.

also many more northern euros have high cheekbones. It's not that uncommon.

lol, close to, but not exactly.

wide cheekbones AND slanted eyes are very rare in Spain, I've never seen someone like that. But one in a million is still one.

And well, in the XVII century (I think) a group of japanese people settled in Andalucia. Their descendants have usually the 'Japón' surname.
