Azerbaycan DNA Project. I will get his g25 coordinates soon too, so we can better understand his result. It's indeed a Siberia record for all Azerbaijanis. But Siberia and East Asian split in Dodecad is a bit wacky. I dont know why his result is like that. Shahsevan being a bit isolated because of lifestyle maybe plays a part?

He said his Shahsevan side came from Ardabil, Iran to Sabirabad.

Quite an impressive steppe percentage at almost 20%. He also check almost every Azerbaijani average )) Any idea ühy his top pop is the Iranian average instead of the Republic?

Yup he scores high Steppe.

I dont know why he is closer to Iran than to Republic. Him being Shahsevan and Talysh probably plays a part. Shahsevan I mostly associate with Iranian Azerbaijan (although they live around the Moghan border region on both sides. But he said his ancestors moved from Ardabil region to north.
But could just be due to the fact that there are more references for Iranian Azerbaijan than Republic and all of these are low sample sizes. There won't be much of a difference genetically between southern areas of Republic and Iranian Azerbaijan anyway.
