It's a very interesting language to say the least. A very Baltic language.

Lithuanian and Latvian are probably the closest languages to proto Indo-European with lithuanian being more archaic

Non-Slavic, but Baltics could not be any closer to Slavs. It's not just genetics and languages either. Ever heard of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth?https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish...n_Commonwealth

Modern language closest to PIE, but Slav overlords have effed the original accent somewhat.

They're Catholic Balto-Slavic East Europeans. Lithuanians have strong historical and cultural ties to Poles. Why do you despise Slavs? That is weird! You remind me of many ignorant, dumbass Romanians who don't know or don't want to hear about having Slav ancestors and cultural and historical ties with Slavs.![]()

No, they are not East Europeans! For the last time, they are Northern Europe, they are classified Northern Europe by the EU. They are Baltic states . Lithuania borders on Poland, but guess what? So does Germany. No one claims Germans are Slavs in denial.
