Had wondered about that and perhaps it is best not to use the age-old symbolism on war machinery.
I personally am still loyal to this icon, because it was used by Karelians and Saami way, way before there ever were any Nazis in existence.

The World Pole with the Sky Nail (The Pole Star) … could also be depicted as ‘The’ Eagle sitting on top.
In the autumn the (Big Dipper) ‘basket’ was lowered close to the horizon - enabling the Bear ancestor come down to Earth from its celestial home to taste the berries.
Old hunter-gatherer mythology as I understand it.
