Balkan dinarics are not especially strong but rather agile, it's a ectomorph skinny phenotype that can't put on weight easilly.

You're probably thinking of these. I don't think they are very common for Sweden on average, because there are many skinny people, but I see what you mean:


Perhaps the balkanites who are strong are often a mix of Dinaric + CM? The people in my family who are strong are usually also wide, and those who are skinny but strong still have a robust skeleton if you look closer. Most of them don't look Dinaric but there is definitely a CM influence in those who happen to be strong. It can also be seen in the women.

Strongest people are the Borrebies and Baltids followed by Brunns, the most recent winner of the strongman competition is from Scotland and looks Scandinavian influenced. Weakest are probably southern Italians, Portuguese would be next.

I'm not sure about this notion that some ethnicities/nationalities are significantly stronger than others on average. For instance, we in Wales may be known for playing rugby, but most guys here don't have the physique of Jamie Roberts or even Gareth Davies.

Iberians are heavily Atlanto-Meds too and have a strong CM admixture (Mainly Berid, in North P. Atlantid occourd sometimes)
I don't think that weak is a suitable word, I think athletic would be it, Iberians have a physical build able to run, swim and do sports in general given their agility, in addition they got a good muscular definition, CMs (pretty comuns) are really very strong already which are mostly Endo/Meso
My dad for example despite having some SSA influence is pretty strong by the CM admixture

I don't belive if there is any correlation between phenotype and athletic performance, but statistically there are many champions of strength sports of taurid + CM phenotype, from Rezazadeh to Pudzianowski.
