Do you ever get Swedish on some of the other good tests? I get around 8% Finnish on the IllustrativeDNA Modern test. My Mom's Dad is from Gotland, her Mom is from western Sweden.

I'm guessing Basque would be the peak "Atlantic" component, but your Dad's genes would obviously fit in with that component as well, so it does make sense you could end up with more Atlantic, yet not more Basque, as you say. Hence the "regional" element is to be seen not as only just one particular population group, right?

I wish my siblings would get their DNA tests so they could see the different proportions they get from my parents. I'm sure they are quite varied due to me having 8 different components showing up on mine (French, Swedish, Norwegian, English, Irish, Welsh, Scottish, and Finnish).

So, it looks like you got a hefty dose of Atlantic from both parents. Perhaps the dominant genes won out?

By the way, are there many very tall Basque people? My FFFFF (father's father's...) is said to have been 6'9" (205 cm). I was shocked. I thought the Frenchies were rather short, but I saw his picture as an old man and he is very tall with large hands.
