Iranian Farmers are still pretty different from CHG, modern day Baluchis are mostly descended from these farmers and are a farcry from CHG rich Caucasians.

Lazaridis thinks Neolithic Iranians are one of the four ancestral components in Europeans so it must be a good proxy for the southern ancestry found in Steppe herders, CHG being a combination of Iranian farmers plus some of the other three populations.
