Ever since its establisment as a nation, Greek culture has been heavily influenced by Germanic culture.
From Germanic and Bavarian kings, to German equipment(military ans not only)
To the point where i meet a Napolitan friend born and raised in Napoli(Italy) who is half Greek from his mother side and half Napolitan from his father, he told me Greece is more like Germany in terms of administration and organization than south Italy and Naples, where there is also mafia. Especially he emphasized in covid-19 protocols and such staff because i meet him during the covid era, but he was talking in general aspects of state entity and even private section(the absence of cash euros in transactions in Greece is much higher than in south Italy), which is a north European feature, and he gave me some other examples too.
But is this true overall? Is Greece more Germanized than south Italy and the rest of Med?
Please tell me your opinion.
BTW here is an article i found interesting from the German perspective........
