How come a lot of people here have Ostrogoth ancestry? Is it because they actually had a major impact on the Central/Eastern European population or is it something else? Like, I've almost 11% Ostrogoth ancestry (if you count Langobards and Gepids as well, because they're closely related) and "vikiingMallorcaSpain" a few posts before who comes from Spain also has some Ostrogoth in him, despite the fact that we live on the opposite sides of Europe.

Yeah their Viking (Swedish) samples are also not clear. Do they include both finns/estonians and swedes into it or is there a separate Finnish sample. There's also a Viking (Danish) sample too.

People like to rag or denigrate MTA (not necessarily you here) but if you stay away from some of the more gimmicky parts of the website I find I prefer it to G25. G25 has my number 1 moderns as closest to Dutch and ancients as Seuebi or DEU_Alemmanic_MA or Suebi or whatever but that just seems wrong even taking proxies into consideration. If they are using K15 at least it is designed for Euros unlike G25 which has a broader scope but for me the killer app is Celtic vs Germanic by Davidski not Davidski's G25. Maybe, half Suebi and half England_IA would make sense but I digress :
