America is a gigantic spiderweb bureaucracy more than an oligarchy, IMO. We probably agree that there are a few big interests at the top, but an oligarchy wouldn't have millions of employees across hundreds of alphabet soup agencies, like we do. For an oligarchy to allow the dilution of its own power through such bureaucratization sounds irresponsible. Correct me if wrong
