Are there any German speaking Christians who could roughly translate or even look over and breifly summarize this work, or mainly just let me know if his stance seems to be in favor of the Samaritan Pentatuch?
: 1875; "Zur Geschichte und Literatur der Samaritaner by Adolf Brull
Do any English speakers know of an English translation?
The author in question is the son of a Rabbi and also has works on the Talmud, unsurprisingly of course. I would like to know what he said about the Samaritan Petatuch and then compare it to the Samaritan Pentatuch.
I am doing some research on the various translations of the old testament. In part, both the Masoretic Text and the Septuigent seem questionable to me, so I am looking into others, though I do know God works in mysterious ways and preserves his word sufficiently for each individual.
Related discourse concerning the analysis of biblical translations is also welcome, just be polite please. Lastly, if non-Christians choose to get involved for whatever reason, let's do our best to represent our Father appropriately.
Thank you for your help, God Bless
