The Roma spirit, free and strong, In every heartbeat, in every song.
Through fields and forests, roads unplanned, They roam the world, a nomad band. Beautiful women, heroic men, In the Roma, life’s magic begins again.
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep." (John 10:10-11)

Mortimer why don't you cry for Armenians and Greeks who were displaced and massacred in their ancient homeland by Turks? Did Turks replaced Byzantine civilization with something better? No, with something inferior in fact. Oh, but I forget you are a brown Oriental nomad yourself, so all they do is OK.

It wasn't genocide you illiterate parrot and what was stolen. They lived like savages, not tilling the land, just hunting and gathering herbs and berries. Maybe it is the savage primitive in you that feels for them so deeply. They had no states and no concept of land ownership, since they too were nomads living in tents. And massacres were committed by both sides, with more sadistic cruelty shown by Indians who even scalped children and raped and mutilated women.

In Mexico and Central and South America there were Amerindian civilizations which the Spanish destroyed and replaced with their own. But even those were primitive and featured cannibalism, human sacrifice and they thought the Spanish were gods, so...
