South Europeans are more hardline and conservative than the North in that sense we don't allow Islamic feifdoms in our domain. So agree with Rennaisance on that point entirely.
The Islamic Feifdoms in Europe should go to Scandinavia (oh wait, they already have)
...as I was saying.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph. 6:12
Definition of untrustworthy and loose character are those that don't believe in God.

It really depends on how you define a university.
Modern universities, which are based on the medieval European universities, have certain features that ancient learning sites lacked, like granting formal diplomas and degrees, a set curricula of study, and a corporate organizational structure.
If your definition of a university requires all these features of a modern university, then neither Al-Quaraouiyine nor Al-Azhar qualify.
In some cases, a place might have some, but not all the features ( like Theology schools that existed long time ago )
Only the medieval European universities had all the features of a modern university, since as I said modern universities were patterned after them.
But centers of higher learning that had many, just not all, the features of a modern university existed long before University of Al-Quaraouiyine (since 859, in Morocco) and University of Al-Azhar (since 970, in Egypt).
If you go to Bologna you will still find the original building of the university built in the 11th century.. If you go to Morocco you will not find anything of the remains of the original MOSQUE (it was a Mosque where the IMAN studied.. If this is the method to qualify a university then the Church of San Pietro or San Vitale are the oldest Italian universities..)
At Bologna university all documents from the 11th century are kept.
Books, registers, accounts, exams, names of pupils and professors..
In MOROCCO mosquee ... ops university from 1963 ?
It should be remembered that until a few years ago no one remotely thought of qualifying these two "universities" ( Al-Quaraouiyine in Moroccoand University of Al-Azhar in Egypt) as the oldest in the world.. But we all know that the supporters of third world culture together with the supporters of woke culture are changing history.. and maybe they are erasing western culture..

Both divisions make sense, I don't think one could necessarily be said to be much more prominent than the other.

Which is funny, as Italy's a EU net contributor and Spain fares better than more northern countries like Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Czechia and the Baltic countries.

Unfortunately I've seen some grim scenes even from Southern European countries but I hope you resist it enough because I doubt Europe will see another Martel or Pelagius.
