Most certianly, when I was a kid in the 90s there were many places you could still smoke indoors. Bars, restaurants, even the Tim Hortons had a smoking section.

These statistics are from 2019 but interesting as they have quite a few countries included.

Even middle schoolers smoke today, which I'm absolutely disgusted by it.

I think so, but i still see quite a few vapers who smell just as bad.

There was a time i thought it was mostly women who smoked, but now i'm not sure anymore.

USA university-sphere: smoking store-bought cigarettes went away, but it's currently hip to carry around a plastic baggy of tobacco and roll your own in front of everyone.

The man who became my husband was a smoker when I met him. But I quickly made him understand that he would have to choose between cigarettes and me. He decided then to stop smoking and he is very grateful towards me because of that, I did him a huge favour. He hasn't smoked for years now.

You did well to make Mr Laly see the error of his ways and give up smoking

No fun kissing a mouth that tastes like a smoky trash can !

Fewer people among my generation seem to smoke habitually than the generation of my parents which experienced their youth in the 90s, but it's far from a dying habit. Interestingly, in my observation people from the balkans and hungarians smoke significantly more than germanic and west slavic central europeans. People from rural areas also seem to smoke more.

I wouldnt say its dying, but there are definitely less daily smokers.
Only one of my friends smoke 7/7 about a pack or maybe 1,5 a day.
When it comes to smoking when going out, especially when you go out drinking with friends its different. I would say about 80% of my friends smoke when going to some bars/partying myself included.
Cigarettes are super cheap here, especially if you roll them yourself.
