For his part, he continued his march and arrived on the 6th, as reported earlier, in Prisiran [Prizren], the Capital of Albania, where he was welcomed by the Archbishop (5) [36r] of that country and by the Patriarch of Clementa with their various religious ceremonies. The reputation of this commander grew more and more because of his orderliness such that 5,000 Arnauts [Muslim Albanians] in Pristina [Prishtina] who had risen against the Turks and [the inhabitants of] many of the major towns in the vicinity had given to understand that they would submit to the rule of the Emperor.
This is from Austrian/German military archives 1689. Prishtina is the modern capital of Kosovo which was also Albanian back then.

Skanderbeg was probably I2-Y3120.
According to one version paternal great-grandfather of Skanderbeg was nobleman from Zeta from the family Branilović who moved to Albania when Serbian tsar Dušan conquered most of the modern Albania. Some historians claimed origin of Skanderbeg's ancestors from Livno in southwestern Bosnia. After the Dušan's conquests of modern Albania, part of Greece, part of Macedonia and Bulgaria, he brought administration and nobility from old Serbian ethnic territories to the newly conquered.

if we are gonna talk about DNA then Albanians have have 25-30% slavic in them, what is your point? also majority of their "pre-slavic" dna comes from east part of balkan.
Also Albanians did not had independent state state before 1912 while we controlled territory what is now Albania in 7 century.
also you are fake profile of this Albanian guy.![]()

The Balkans are such a small place when you see it on a global scale that claiming some arbitrary border as "east" is obscure. We are not sure the exact spread of Albanians in the Balkans pre slavic invasion. Judging from the fact how no modern words for sea related stuff in Albanian come from proto Albanian origin, and that the South Balkans was greek like today, means that the border where these proto albanians lived could be from all over modern Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia, and Western Bulgaria. Who do you think would logically inhabited Kosovo then?
As for Albania as a state, Kingdom of Albania existed in name earlier then Serbia (previoslly Raska). But why on Earth would not having a united land delegitimize an ethnicity?

Prizren was an Albanian town in the 1500's too according to Ottoman registers. We don't have registers of the actual town prior to that but we do have registers of surrounding villages from 1300s - 1400's which shows that area was inhabited by Albanians, Has-Prizren area.
The town Skopje/Shkup in Macedonia was an Albanian town in the 1600's too according to scriptures , Albanians were also mentioned in that area in the 1300's. And both Prizren and Skopje are non-Slavic names . Shkup comes from the Ancient Scupi .
Yes , you're the ''original inhabitants'' somehow villages around these towns were just inhabited by Albanians in the 1200's - 1400's. And somehow linguists claim these town names developed from Albanian not from Slavic.
Btw this is all taken from Austrian military archives.

It's not just the fact that this town was Albanian in the 17th century, but almost like most major towns in Kosova, Macedonia and many of these areas were in the 17th century. You forgot that part. Also references to Albanians in these areas 1200's - 1400's and countless villages. Yet I am sure you made the majority, you just got magically replaced by Albanians who somehow led some revolt against Turks![]()
even more funny some dude who thinks he is 60% Illyrian comments in my thread with some Y-DNA I![]()
