Christian solidarity among Europeans/ethnic-Europeans is a good thing. Global Christian solidarity, not so much.

It depends Maronites for example see themselves as extension of the West. Well the Arab Orthodox don't despite they follow the Greek tradtion but see themselves as Arabians first and for most basically since this what they are genetically.

What do I, a (nominally) Christian Georgian, really have in common with my Nigerian "brother in faith"? Almost nothing. Religious practices are at the end of the day a mere derivative of the inherent qualities of an ethnic/racial group. Universalist religions will inevitably end up being transformed into semi-separate cults once they are adopted in countries with different racial backgrounds.

Muslims are civilization unitary while Christians belong to different civilizations. Arab muslim is total foreign for us just like Ethiopian Copt. Even black catholics from Nigeria are more foreign for "catholic" Poles than islamic Bosnians. Atheistic but patriotic Pole is always closer for me than catholic German or Lithuanian.
