    Actually, she said her parents gave her that name because it's a name common to Norwegians and Armenians, meaning "little star" in Armenian:

    Actually I'd never heard of any Armenian named Astrid before now, but now as I've checked it in internet I indeed found a few Armenian persons who are called it.
